Little Stanley
Little Stanley owned by Jock Threadgall came to us as a 3year old to be broken. He was a hairy baby when he arrived, having been wintered out. he soon started to look the part and after backing him and riding him away he started to show his potential under saddle. I hacked him and started working him in the school and then cantering away in fields and up the gallops.
He is now in training with Nick Alexander and I am really looking forward to following his progress.

Nubar Boy
Nuby came to us straight from Ian Williams racing. Nuby was a typical flat horse and had only experienced life inside a racing yard and at race courses, so he had a lot the learn about muddy Scotland. We had Nuby 2years and he learned a great deal with us.
He competed in unaffiliated dressage and Sj and jumped clear round hunter trials and local cross country.
He now has a lovely life with his new owner Rowan where he is loved and cared for and one very happy horse. Pictured mostly with our working pupil Taylor.

Owned by: Sandra Stephen
He is an ex-racehorse :
26 Runs Flat Turf
48 Runs Flat All Weather
0 Jumps
Total runs 74 Total wins 8 Total placings 17
Greenhead High (Toby) was with us for a year to re-train, he was a lovely gelding with a super sweet nature and willing attitude with a fantastic jump. He competed in local competitions and hunter trials as well as turning out to be a fantastic hunter. When Toby first came he didn't have a clue about life outside the racing yard and needed to learn manners and with being a flat horse he had been mostly on a gallop or all weather racehorse and didn have a clue about mud and puddles etc. After his time with us he was so easy to do and would hack out alone or in company and would ride and lead. He was sold to a lovely family near Hexham where he and his new teenage rider had a lot of fun together hunting, up front with the huntsman jumping everything in sight. He also qualified to go to Ireland for championships and jumped incredibly well over in Ireland giving his new jockey a lovely feel round a big track.
Sadly there fun was cut short by an accident out hunting and very sadly lovely Toby has to be put down.
He is a huge miss.

Mister Carter
When Mister Carter came to us he was an 8 year old TB gelding by Antonius Pius. Mister Carter is an ex-racehorse who was trained in Ireland by Tommy Stack and then was shipped over to Britain where he was trained by Ian Williams. Mister Carter came to me in November 2013 and began his education after racing. Carter, as he was known at home was a very quick learner and picked new this quickly which made my job of re-training him much easier. He was educated at home for a couple of weeks but it wasn't long until we entered him for his first outing which was dressage at Dryden. he behaved very well but showed his greenness in our test with a very inconstant contact and spent more time looking at the roof than where he was going. mum and I joked that one day we would look back at the videos of this test and we would see how much he had improved and we were right. Before I sold carter he was competing very competitively at Elementary dressage and working of some medium movements at home. Quite amazing how versatile these horses are.
Along with his dressage he competed competitively in SJ and XC as well as the ROR showing and challenge classes qualifying for the Highland show and Windsor show on numerous occasions.
He also Evented very competitively at up to BE100 level. Some of his best results included winning his BE 90 section at Warwick Hall Horse Trails in 2015 finishing on his dressage of 29.0. He finished 3rd in his first BE 100 at Dalston Green HT. He was also 7th in his first novice run.
I owned this lovely horse for 5years and he truly was a pleasured to have.
I wish him and his new owners all the best and I am looking forward to watching them having fun together doing Pony Club and eventing.

The Banner Blue (Colin)
Colin is owned by Carol and Willie Douglas. Colin had proven to be a bit tricky with his previous rider and he was sent home to breeders Carol and Willie who then kindly offered me the ride. Colins 1st lesson when coming to live with us was leaving the yard without having - what I can only describe as - a brat attack. After many arguments and many times of being in hedges and up banking's the penny dropped and he finally realised that I was not scared of him and I certainly wasn't going to give up! He began to become less and less difficult and soon was completely on side.
He then started schooling and jumping. Colin was never the easiest but I truly liked him as a person and I think that was the reason I manged to get more out of him than anyone else had. Colin competed at lots of local competitions and picked up rosettes as he went.
We then entered him in his first British Event, a B.E. 80 at Cumwinton despite bucking in his test he finished just outside the top 10 in 12th place. We were all so proud of him, especially as we didn't know if he would return to his napping ways when leaving the xc start. His attitude was quite the opposite... he LOVED it and jumped a superb clear xc. Colin then went to Warwick Hall to complete his 2nd B.E. where he moved up to B.E. 90. He was very excited this time and whilst warming up for the dressage he had his ear cocked towards the xc commentary the entire time. He completed another test with numerous bucks, jumped a very exuberant sj which resulted in him knocking 3 poles. He then bounced up to the xc where he jumped a very confident clear round and felt like I should be going Novice never mind B.E. 90.
However his bucking in his dressage and his apparent inability to jump a sj from anything less than a slow gallop, as he would lock on and run at his fences (despite me constantly trying to ride for rhythm) started to raise concerns with myself and Carol agreed something wasn't quite right. After veterinary investigation raised concerns about a long standing sacroiliac or pelvic issue we decided it would be best not to push Colin towards being a competition horse. He then enjoyed a days hunting with the JedForest Hunt and then went back to his owners where he has stayed and his very happy in their care.
